Life As A Single Mommy Of Three

Darren and Kristin are such a blessing in my life in so many ways. One way in particular is they offered mom and I a vacation at there beach condo in exchange for a week alone, a mini honeymoon :) So from Thursday morning until Sunday evening I was a mommy of three. The only down fall for me was the lack of sleep. If you know me at all you know that I do not function until the clock says 9am or later. Most of the time the Bolling's are still asleep when I arrive on the days I watch them, but they decided that since I was 100% responsible for them they would wake up at 7am every morning. I must admit it was very sweet to hear the bedroom door open Friday morning and look up to see two sweet faces starving back(this was the day Ty slept until 9:30 which is unheard of). There are way more positive things to say about being a mom then negative. Although I can't wait to be a mom I love being "Dessi", here are a few of my favorite things: sweet hugs and kisses, giggles that are so contagious that you can't help but laugh along, spoiling them to no end, keeping them up an hour past bedtime because we are having so much fun none of us want it to end, "friendly" competition on the Wii, and best part the "I love you too Dessi" before tucking them in at night. Tyson, Lilah and Jax are not just a summer job, they are my adopted nephews and niece!! So Darren and Kristin, anytime you want a vacation you know I am always willing to step in as "mom".

  1. Destiny, you didn't just take care of them, you cared for them, loved them, and spoiled them rotten. You have always been a blessing to us in so many ways. God has gifted you will a talent and a unique interest for children. YOU ARE SUPER NATURAL with children. AND you should be honored at how many little ones light up when you enter a room. Thank you for sharing these photos and keeping a few from me so I could be surprised when I read this post. We love you. I am NOT surprised at what an amazing job you did while we were gone! HUGS!!!
